Two Ph.D. scholarships are available as part of an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage project titled “Real-time Analytics on Urban Trajectory Data for Road Traffic Management”. The overall aim of this ARC Linkage project is to develop real-time analytics and data management capabilities that leverage large-scale urban trajectory data to provide road operators with real-time insights into population movements and enable data-driven, customer-centric network operations.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
To meet the Graduate School admissions requirements for a Ph.D., applicants must provide evidence of the following:
A bachelor’s degree with at least honors class IIA or equivalent from approved universities, which includes a relevant research component; or
A research master’s degree; or
A coursework master’s degree and an overall GPA (grade point average) equivalent to 5.65 on the 7-point UQ scale, which includes an appropriate research component; or
A postgraduate degree of at least one year full-time equivalent with an overall GPA (grade point average) equivalent to 5.0 on the 7-point UQ scale, together with indicated research experience equivalent to honors IIA will be taken into consideration for Ph.D. entry on a case by case basis; or
A bachelor’s degree plus at least two years of documented appropriate research experience, including research publications.
Value
This scholarship grants $28,092 per annum tax-free, indexed annually. A top-up of $5,000 per annum will also be offered.
