The purpose of the Scholarship is to motivate and support exceptional students who desire to undertake a program of study for a coursework degree at The University of Queensland. If you are a high-achieving student and you are completing Year 12 in 2019 (or you completed in 2018 and you’re on a gap year), you are allowed to apply. These scholarships are granted exclusively on academic achievement to candidates who achieve at the very top of the OP1 band (or a minimum ATAR of 99.90). Awards are generally made before the end of the year (subject to availability of senior results).
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
Academic scholarships are open to Year 12 and gap year students who are:
Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holders, or
Australian Permanent Residents, New Zealand citizens, or international students completing, or have completed, Years 11 and 12 in Australia;
AND
Have not completed any previous tertiary study other than that undertaken as part of Year 11–12 studies (e.g. Enhanced Studies Program); and
Have applied for a tertiary place through QTAC; and
Are intending to enroll as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate program in 2020 (or 2021 if they are deferring their tertiary place); and
Will have UQ listed as their 1st or 2nd QTAC preference.

This scholarship is tenable $6,000 per year, the total value of up to $24,000
