The National Scholarship is awarded to the high school and community college students who are enrolled in any one of the partner colleges in select 16 states.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
To be eligible for the scholarship, a High School and GED Program Graduates:
- Should demonstrate an unmet financial need
- Should have graduated or will graduate from high school
- Should maintain a GPA of 2.0
- Should not be enrolled at any 4-year institution or in a bachelor’s program
- Should meet the immigration eligibility
Eligibility for Community College Graduates:
- Should demonstrate an unmet financial need
- Should have graduated or will graduate from an accredited community college or 2-year degree program
- Should demonstrate a GPA of 3.0
- Should not be enrolled at any 4-year institutions or a bachelor program
- Should meet the immigration eligibility
NOTE:
- Arizona State University (Arizona): Students are required to qualify for the non-resident tuition rate if they are eligible for high school graduate scholarship or community college graduate scholarship.
- Oglethorpe University (Georgia): Students must reside within the 25-mile radius of the campus if they are eligible for high school graduate scholarship or community college graduate scholarship.
- University of Illinois-Chicago (Illinois): Students who are eligible for high school graduate scholarships cannot use this scholarship at the college level.
- Northern Virginia Community College (Virginia): Students eligible for high school graduate scholarships must provide DACA to qualify for in-state tuition.
- George Mason University (Virginia): Students qualifying for high school graduate scholarships are not eligible to use this scholarship at this university.
- Students qualifying for Community College Graduate Scholarship must provide DACA to qualify for in-state tuition.
- University of Washington – Seattle (Washington): Students qualifying for high school graduate scholarships are not eligible to use this scholarship at this university.
- Students qualifying for Community College Graduate Scholarship must apply for admissions to the college by February
How to Apply:
The student can apply for the scholarship by submitting the application form online.
Required Documents
- Personal Statement (certifying current DACA or TPS authorization)
- Official or unofficial high school transcripts
- An SAT or ACT Score
- Transcripts of any Community College credits acquired post-high school
- Financial Statement
Value
The Scholarship awards up to $14,500 for an associate degree and up to $29,000 for a bachelor’s degree. Students eligible for additional stipend may receive up to $4000 or $1000 per year for books, supplies and transportation.
