Students can apply to be considered for Constantia Maxwell Faculty Studentship for the academic year. Its contribution towards MPhil tuition fees for (EU or Non-EU) in an academic year. It has been generously funded by the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Trinity College Dublin.
This studentship seeks to acknowledge the quality of entrants to the MPhil program in Race, Ethnicity, and Conflict and the on-going contribution of MPhil students to the Department of Sociology. It aims to support and develop talented postgraduate students.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
This studentship is available to new entrants (EU and Non-EU) to our MPhil program in Race, Ethnicity, and Conflict, for admission. In order to be eligible, applicants must hold and have officially accepted an Unconditional Offer of a place on one of these programs.
Applications are assessed competitively with the criteria for the grant of the studentship being the proven academic merit of the candidate and/or their relevant life/work experience within the field of race, ethnicity, and conflict. The decision as to the recipient of the studentship is at the sole discretion of the MPhil Course Director and Committee.
Value
1. The Constantia Maxwell Faculty Studentship, with a value of 5000 euro is offered to a student in any of the School's M.Phil. Program. This may be put towards fees or living expenses. 2. The School of Histories and Humanities also offers one bursary of 1000 euro, to be deducted from the course fees, for each of its seven M.Phil. Programs.
