The International Major Entrance Scholarships (IMES) are awarded to outstanding international students pursuing undergraduate programs at the University of British Columbia. IMES grant is given when the students enter their first year of an undergraduate program at UBC.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:
To be eligible, an applicant:
• Should be new to the University of British Columbia, joining directly from secondary school or post-secondary. (University or College)
• Should be an international student who is willing to study at the University of British Columbia on a Canadian study permit (student visa).
Notes: Changes in citizenship status will affect applicant IMES eligibility.
• Should demonstrate excellent academic achievement, extracurricular and community involvement.
• Applying for a need- and- merit based international scholars award are not eligible for this scholarship.
How to Apply:
Eligible applicants will be automatically considered for this scholarship once they submit their application for admission at UBC.
