Vanderbilt University offers a number of merit scholarships to the students who demonstrate outstanding accomplishments in academics and intellectual promise. The recipients are required to fulfill certain conditions, although no separate application is required.
The Carrell Family Scholarship is one of the merit-based scholarships offered by Vanderbilt University to the students who demonstrate financial need. The recipients are identified by the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships on various parameters.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
The scholarships are only open to incoming minority students who are interested to develop their careers in either Journalism or Public Policy.
The selections are based on past academic records, leadership qualities, SAT or ACT Scores, Recommendation Letters, and an essay.
No separate application is required to be considered for the scholarship.
The scholarship also offers an opportunity for an internship at The Freedom Forum or First Amendment Center.
Value
The scholarship awards full tuition fee. There is no fixed number of awards.
