FNEL offers courses in First Nations languages, as well as methodology classes on language documentation, conservation, and revitalization. In partnership and collaboration with First Nations and Indigenous communities and their cultural institutions, staff, scholars, and students in our program conduct research with speakers of endangered languages and help to develop educational materials in British Columbia and beyond.

Final grade of 70% in Grade 11 or Grade 12 English (or equivalent course, including provincial examinations where applicable), Graduation from high school with a minimum average of 70%, UAE Secondary School Leaving Certificate (Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-Amma). Certificates must be official, Grades required for admission will vary by program, but based on the UAE grading scale, the minimum average needed to fall within the competitive range is approximately 84% on a 60% pass-scale, Test scores: IELTS of 6.5, with no part less than 6.0, TOEFL iBT of 90.
