Criminal Justice is the scientific study of crime, deviance, and the agencies of the criminal justice system. The Bachelor of Arts with a major in Criminal Justice Studies, is a broadly structured interdisciplinary and criminological curriculum designed to introduce students to:A practical and critical understanding of criminal justice, justice studies and criminology.Necessary knowledge for public service, e.g., law enforcement and/or investigative services at the local, state, and national levels; careers in the correctional field, community programs, and other rehabilitative services, as well as staff positions in the judiciary system.Preparation for pursuing advanced study in a criminal justice or criminological graduate program or in law school.
