Research and development in this field aim at improving knowledge in screenings and diagnoses as well as developing effective intervention treatments and care for age related disorders, such as stroke, cognitive impairment and dementia, falls, bone health, and frailty. Nutrition and exercise appropriate for older persons are emphasised as preventive measures and rehabilitation strategies for successful ageing.
