For the year 2022, around 36.9% of the candidates that appeared for the Foreign Medical Graduates Exam have been able to crack it. This is a record-breaking percentage and highest of all time. It has been said that the coronavirus pandemic gave the candidates more time to prepare. Also the government will be introducing the National Exit Test (NExT) from this year. Candidates are more familiar with the examination pattern of FMGE. This is the reason why they have worked really hard to make sure that they clear the examination.
FMGE is given by candidates who have pursued their medical degree in different countries and want to come back to India to pursue medicine. We have to first appear for the FMGE exam and only then they're allowed to become professional doctors or practitioners in the country.
