Australia is set to make a lot of changes in its policies related to international students from July 1, 2023. Previously Australia made a big change in part-time work related decisions for international students. To attract more students, Australia decided to let international students work for unlimited hours to support themselves. But eventually the government realised that this would compromise the quality of education. So from July 1, 2023 international students will be allowed to work 48 hours per two weeks. Before the pandemic this was 40 hours per two weeks. Also international students will be able to stay for a longer time period after completing their education in Australia. Australia will be giving a two year extension for post study work visa. So from now on, international students can live in Australia for two years more than the already existing tenure. For example, an international student pursuing a bachelor's degree could stay for two years in Australia after completing their education. But from July 1, 2023 onwards, students who have completed their bachelors degree will be able to stay for four years in Australia.
