Nepal is a country which is very close to India. As an international student in Nepal, you will not have to face as many complications as you do as an Indian student while going to other countries. The cost of education in Nepal for an Indian student is also going to be very low. Generally Indian students tend to choose countries like Russia and central Asian countries for pursuing an MBBS degree. Many students are not aware of the prospects in Nepal. In 2022, around 2200 students were pursuing a medical degree in Nepal. Out of these students, around 1437 students appeared for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). 373 students were able to clear the exam. There are more than 15 medical colleges in Nepal where you can pursue your MBBS degree. Also the fees here are very low as compared to private colleges in India. Meritorious students are also given scholarships that cover the tuition fees.
