India and the UK have opened a new table for discussion on the free trade agreement. Historically, India and the UK have had great trade ties. Negotiations regarding the same have been going on between the two countries since 2018, but no mutual decision has been made as of now. One of the major demands that India has put forward in the free trade agreement is the ability to have a larger access to the Education and labour market of the UK. This means that getting an education and work visa will be a lot easier for Indian aspirants. But the UK has been hesitant to sanction the free trade agreement because of high number of immigrants that the UK receives from other countries annually. Other than this, Indian goods have a huge tariff imposed on them and the UK will not be able to compete with the quality of goods coming from India. Sanctioning of this free trade agreement will have a positive impact on the students who want to study in the UK. The process will become a lot easier and hasslefree. Visa rejection rates will fall and students and other aspirants will be able to go to the UK without any much effort.
