Ekya School of Bengaluru has promoted its students to start a PAL initiative which stands for Passionate Animal Lovers. Under the initiative students will be passively adopting animals and some endangered species from Bannerghatta Biological Park. The adopting parent is likely to cover the maintenance, feeding and veterinary expenses of the adopted animal. This will have a double food benefit as not only the adopted animal will be benefited but the students will also develop a sense of responsibility and empathy towards animals from an early age. Initiatives like these should be promoted in schools as they make school a more learning and fun place to be while also teaching moral values and duties.
