Working part-time while studying abroad is extremely important. Not only it makes you self-dependent but also helps in saving up a lot of money. Recently the Canadian government also made a new amendment related to part-time jobs. The Canadian government has announced that students will be able to work for 20 hours a week with classes going on simultaneously. Last year alone Canada issued 4,25,000 student visas to international students. Canada also has been facing a labor shortage recently which is why it has increased the number of hours students can work part-time. Here are some job options for students in Canada which also offer decent salaries-

  • Server

This is one of the most popular jobs in Canada. In order to qualify as a server or waiter, you must present a high school graduate certificate along with possessing good proficiency in English.

  • Delivery person

Being a delivery person means you have to deliver food packages, online orders, and other mail-related stuff to people. To be a delivery person you must be above the age of 18, have a driver's license, and have a car of your own. Some delivery offices also allow you to have a bicycle to buy. A cycle delivery person is paid less than the one who has a car.

  • Tutor

As an international student, you might have mastery in the subject that you are pursuing. You can use this talent of yours to earn money. Though finding a job as a tutor is a lot more difficult than your regular part-time job. But there are a lot of websites and apps that will help you find a job as a tutor. As a tutor, you can earn about $15 per hour.

  • Dog walker

It's kind of an unbelievable thing that you will get paid to walk a dog. But it's a serious job in the USA. As a dog walker, You can expect to get paid around $20 an hour. You can also increase your earnings by offering additional pet services like pet sitting. If you think this job is for you, then there's an app called Rover that you can use to find out your customers.
