The Joint Entrance Exam is one of the most competitive exams in India. It is given by engineering aspirants from different parts of the country to get into the top engineering institutes. The examination is divided into two parts. First is the JEE Mains exam that gets you into NITs and other top ranked government or private institutions in the country. Students who are able to clear this exam are eligible to take the JEE Advance exam that is responsible for getting students into IITs.
The registration for JEE Mains January slot had already started in the beginning of December. As per data, around 12.3 lakhs registrations have been received by JEE for the January slot. Maharashtra has topped the tally and the highest number of registration have come from this state. The number of students taking the JEE exam has been increasing every year. The second slot for JEE Mains will be held in April.
