In an interview recently, the German ambassador to India said that almost 15% of the total students that apply for a student visa to Germany from India submit fake documents. German Ambassador Philipp Ackermann suggested that around 10 to 15 percent of the visa applications had some element of deceit and thus careful scrutiny is imperative. Although he said that it is heartbreaking to reject so many applicants, their main purpose is that no deserving candidate should be left devoid of the opportunities that he/she deserves. During the interview, he also spoke regarding the Visa bank login issues that a lot of students have been facing. Apologizing for the same he said that it was never their intention and to ensure that students are not facing any sort of problem they are making sure that universities are cooperating with the students regarding their late arrivals. He ensured that the process will become smoother in the coming time and that backlogs will be cleared very soon.
