With time it has become excessively difficult to get selected into the top ranking institutions of the world. Institutions such as the Ivy League colleges, MIT and Oxford's have become an unapproachable dream. More and more students have started applying into these universities as a result of which they have become extremely selective and peculiar while giving admissions.
But the question is the hype really worth it? Are these colleges really so good? The answer is not really. With the expansion of international education, many great universities have now been established over the years. Students now have the option of selecting a university for themselves as per their needs and requirements because of so many options.
This means that you no longer have to restrict yourself to what others tell you. Thinking that you will get a great job just because you have a university label in your resume is wrong. A lot of times people from much lesser known universities make it to the top without spending so much money in their tuition fees. This is why taking smart decisions in your life is much more important than going by the conventional rules of getting successful in life.
