There have been a lot of reports regarding the rise in the visa rejection rates for Australia. Amidst all this, the Australian envoy has said that the immigration rates are pretty much the same as compared to the previous year. There hasn't been a massive surge and the numbers are around the same as they were the previous year. According to him, Australia hasn't put any such cap on international students and just wants to make sure that the immigration is more controlled this year as it was compared to the previous year. By controlling the amount of international students coming to the country this year, Australia wants to streamline the whole process of immigration and get back to the normal track from the next year onwards.
