Australian government is trying to fix its visa delays

posted on: June 25, 2022

It seems like there is permanent obstruction for students who had to go to Australia for studies. Initially the Australian government was not opening the borders for international students and now that it has finally, the visa process is getting delayed so much that students fear missing out on their intakes. The government says that it is because of the excessive increased pressure that has been imposed all together on them. The backlog has extended to 16400 visa applications. Andrew Giles, Australia’s new Immigration minister, said that their main focus right now is to clear the backlogs and make sure that a proper management system is built. Meetings are being held to discuss a proper resource allocation to overcome the backlog and a positive response can be expected soon.
