The government of Australia has decided to follow a crackdown policy due to the recent exploitation of international students. The government will develop regulations that will protect students from any scams related to admissions and visas. Under the crackdown, private colleges in Australia will be banned from paying money to consultants for luring students to transfer from one university to another. Many immigration agents promote international students to get admission into low quality universities in Australia due to the commission that they get from these universities.
The government will also start monitoring international students and their university attendance to make sure that they're using their student visas in the right way and not just work. International education is worth $17 billion to Australia due to which Australia takes it very seriously.
