Because of the constant rejection of international students for student visas, many Australian universities are asking students to withdraw their applications. Currently one out of every five international students is getting rejected by the immigration department of Australia. The rejection rate for students from South Asian countries like India, Pakistan, and Nepal are all-time high. This is because of Australia's new policy of only attracting genuine students. Many students are also complaining over the lack of transparency levels in the visa rejection. Students are not given proper explanation as to why their applications are getting rejected. The universities in Australia are also expecting a major loss in their revenue as compare to the previous year because of the hike in projection rates. As the immigration levels have been minimised, universities will not be able to accept as many international students as they were able to the previous year.
