The Banaras Hindu University has recently accepted the proposal to offer 14 new scholarships and a new gold medal. All of the scholarships will be based on merit. BHU is also planning to introduce a new research centre and academic unit. A new medal called the Akshaibar and Jogeshwari Giri Medal will be given to the second year MBA student who has scored the highest CGPA. All of these new changes will come into effect from the academic session of 2024 to 2025. The other approved scholarships will be given to students in the field of Biotechnology, Masters in Sanskrit, MFA textile design, plant pathology, physics, instrumental music, and many more. Some of the scholarships will be given to students in the second year of the degree, whereas the others will be given to the students who are yet in their first year of degree. Preference will be given to students with significant academic performance.
