Canada has a student visa rejection rate of 55%

posted on: July 29, 2022

For the academic year of 2022, a total number of 621656 students went to Canada to pursue their higher education. Although Canada has a high student visa rejection rate, still a lot of students want to study in Canada. Thousands of visa applications are denied annually from countries like Nigeria and Canada. The newest addition to the list is Iran. The reason behind the visa rejection remains a question as there have been many instances where students have complete documents, good grades and funds with them but are still rejected. The refusal rate has doubled after the pandemic. Irrespective of everything the students' applications keep rising with every year. The visa processing period has also increased between nine to twelve week. Many say that the epicentre of this rejection is racial biases as the most amount of students that are rejected are from Africa.
