IRCC has recently announced that it will be accepting 15,000 applications for parents and grandparents visas this year. IRCC will be sending invitations to apply for the same from 10th October to 23rd October. The invited applicants who are potential sponsors can submit the documents based on which Canada will accept around 15,000 applications. The invited applicants will be chosen from the pool of 2020 where various candidates applied for a dependent visa but did not receive any response. It is compulsory for the person to become the sponsor of whoever they want to call to Canada. Other than this, it is also compulsory that the parents or the grandparents must apply for permanent residence in the country.
