The Canadian immigration minister, McMyler has said that Canada will be able to process only half of the total visa applications from India by the end of 2023. The IRCC was expecting to process at least 38,000 visas by the end of December, 2023, but due to the political tensions in suspension of visa services, it would be able to process only 20,000 visas.
This means that there will be a bank logging of at least 17,500 visa applications in 2024. Earlier, Canada had withdrawn its 41 diplomats from India after the two countries' political tensions started. India has also resumed some visa services to Canada. All the students and immigrants who want to work in Canada are still not allowed to go to the country.
