Changes in the UKs graduate visa route may impact international students

posted on: December 13, 2023

The UK government has proposed to review the current UK graduate visa route to introduce more relevant strategies. The government wants to formulate the new strategies in a way that the country attracts highly skilled candidates and the best talent from around the world. The migration advisory committee that is responsible for advising the government regarding new policies for immigration is waiting for an official approval from the Home Office Commission. The new graduate review will promote equality among international students and foster a sense of integrity and trust.

It will also formulate strategies to prevent any kind of abuse faced by international students in the country. And the government may also make changes about who can stay back in the country after completing their courses. Right now all the students who complete their undergraduate or postgraduate education in the UK have the right to stay back in the country, irrespective of what they choose to do. The country is planning to review this existing rule and may bring some changes.
