Changing visa rules create opportunities for international students

posted on: October 05, 2023

Visa rules for various countries have evolved in 2023. Some countries have relaxed their immigration policies to welcome more international students. Due to the massive contribution of international students to the economy or some of the major study abroad destinations, countries are giving more preference and encouraging international students inflow. Now there has been an increase in the number of international students going to foreign countries from tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India.

Many countries have done specific alteration just to attract Indian students to the country. For example, recently the US announced a special opportunity for Indian students who study STEM programmes. Students will be allowed to stay back in the US for 24 months after completing their programmes to look for suitable jobs. The UK also offers an undergraduate after study work visa that allows the student to stay back in the country for 2 to 3 years depending upon their course.
