Long gone are the days when only the American and European continents were famous for studying abroad. Earlier students across the globe had dreamed of studying in American and European universities abroad. It almost felt like a dream that could never be turned into reality as these universities were highly selective and very far away as well. But with time Asia has developed a very well-developed educational system which is now at par with American and European standards. Today we will discuss some of the cheapest countries in Australia and Asia for studying as an international student.

  • Taiwan

Taiwan is also known as the tiger of Asia. The university fees here are as low as US$4000 per annum. Don't underestimate the quality of education in Taiwan as Taiwan is ranked 19th in the QS Higher Education System Strength Rankings. The accommodation expenses in Taiwan are also very low.   • Malaysia

Malaysia is a very famous tourist destination that attracts people from around the world for so many places that it has to offer for visiting. As a student, you will have so much exploring to do beyond your campus life. Malaysia! universities also have a lot of collaborations and tie-ups with international universities which are globally acclaimed. The Malaysian capital city, Kuala Lumpur, was ranked first for affordability in the QS Best Student Cities 2016. As a student, you will need only US$3500 to sustain yourself in Malaysia. The average tuition fee here for a year is around US$4000.

  • India

Next on the list is India. India is a very cheap country regarding accommodation and eating expenses. You can find a lot of cheaper alternatives that can save you money and decrease miscellaneous spending. The annual cost of living here can be around US$4,600 a year. The tuition fee for a year can be US$7,880 per year.

  • Indonesia

Indonesia accounts for 80% of the total population of Muslims in South East Asia and has the world's largest Muslim population in a country. Even then the country is very ethnically diverse due to the amalgamation of different cultures here. As of 2022, there are around 3,000 private universities and 150 public universities in Indonesia for international students.It costs around US$8,500 to live here for a year. Tuition fees are as low as US$2,400 per year for some subjects.
