Delhi University has announced that it will no longer be taking admissions based on the board's percentage of students. Common University Entrance Test will be a criterion for admission to all the famous government universities. But recently an association of private schools have written a letter to the government stating the ill impacts this might have on students. According to them, another entrance exam increases the competitive pressure on the students to perform well and get a good rank just like CAT or JEE. For that, they have to take coaching which not only increases the financial burden but also the mental stress. These tests are conducted around or just after boards so students have to prepare for that as well. So private schools have requested the government to consider their suggestions and not make education a burden on students.
