Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced that a labour union representing 1,55,000 workers that work in processing visas for international students going to Canada will be going on strike. So all the international students who have applied for a study or work visa to Canada can expect delays. The union had issues with the government related to their wages. After not coming on a mutual agreement, the union decided to go on a strike on 19th April, 2023. People can expect the services to be delayed or not given at all for some period of time. Everyone who has applied for a visa will be informed about the latest steps on their registered phone numbers and email IDs. People can expect the unavailability of services such as appointments, contacting through emails, or phones, citizenship services and passport services.
