According to the latest data, Indian students account for 30% of international students in Canada. Very evidently it's a huge percentage and experts have said that the trend of studying in Canada among Indian students has increased exponentially after the pandemic. If you are also a student aiming to study in Canada, it's safe to say that a lot of questions might be revolving around in your head. The first might be about the course selection and it should also concern you as it is the most important part of your whole journey. One important tip before finalizing your course is to check whether it is available at a designated learning institution (DLI), i.e. it is approved by a provincial or territorial government to host international students. You can check this at the Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website. Once they accept your application you will get a Letter of Acceptance which should have your name, contact information of the DLI, DOB and mailing address. Students have to apply for study permits through IRCC. On a student visa, you can work for 20 hours a week.
