The Scholastic Aptitude Test is one of the most important exams that any student who has to study abroad needs to give. It is a way of assessing the readiness of a particular student in starting an international college. The exam consists of four major sections, including reading, writing, language, and mathematics. Three hours are given to a student to attempt this exam and an extra 50 minutes are given to students who choose for the optional essay as well. SAT is operated by a private organisation from the US and is considered one of the most important standard tests to get into the top universities of the country, not just for international students but for the native American students as well. Currently there are 40 different SAT centres in 20 cities of India.
