The University Grants Commission announced under the New Education Policy that campuses of foreign universities like Oxford and Cambridge will be established in India. This will prevent the outflow of money and students will not have to spend a lot of money on quality education. Now Indian students will be able to get high-quality education in their own country at an affordable tuition fee.
But now many experts have said that this plan by the University Grants Commission is unlikely to affect the migration of Indian students to foreign countries. It has been found that the majority of students move to different countries because of placements and lifestyle changes. Their major motive behind shifting to different countries for education is to settle there permanently. Now, even if India decides to bring all these universities in the country itself, the students will still choose to study abroad. Because their intention is to work and settle abroad.
