Recently we celebrated Pride Month as a mark of celebrating the existence of LGBTQ community and appreciating their presence in our society. But only celebrations like these are not necessary. It is also important for us to make sure that we provide them with good education and job opportunities. Only then can we call ourselves a society free from homophobia. There are a number of scholarships that universities offer to the students of LGBTQ community. These are-

• Point Foundation which is a scholarship for students of colour from LGBTQ community. It supports higher education in the US regardless of your citizenship.
• The League Foundation is awarded to students graduating from the US high schools or medical schools. It supports students entering their first year of graduation in the US or Canada.
