New Zealand which was initially known for just its majestic natural bounty is now gaining popularity in the world of education as well. The country has recently opened its borders for international students and is bucking up for the coming semester. Here are the four scholarships awarded by New Zealand government for international students.
Manaaki New Zealand Government Scholarships - This is given to students studying in both UG and PG courses and is funded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT). It aims at skill development and is open for all to apply.
The University of Waikato International Excellence Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to students with excellent academic background and estimates for around NZ$20000.
The Tonarewa Scholarship at the Victoria University of Wellington - The scholarship is offered to first year UG students and students applying for PG. A part of their tuition fee is waived and they are given a space in the Hall of Residence if they want accommodation for one year.
The University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to 50 UG and PG students who are given NZ$10000 which is used in their fee payment.
