Writing a good application for college is no less than a craft and skill. It requires you to be precise and still convey your message. You have to make sure that you eliminate your essay from anything that you don't want others to read about you. You can make a checklist for the process which will include the following pointers-
Make sure that your language does not consist of language that is too hard to understand yet is not too simple.
Don't use too much punctuation.
Avoid using idioms, phrases and too much cliche language.
Follow a chronology and don't jump from one place to another without completing a particular topic that you were discussing.
Avoid using passive voice as much as you can and try to write in active voice only.
