posted on: September 10, 2022

In 2018 alone, Google Drive had 1 billion active users. Now it can be called unarguably one of the most productive platforms to work on. You might have been using this platform for a long time but there are many hidden features that you might not be aware of. Knowing how to use Google Drive thoroughly will help your work efficiency. Here are some hacks for using Google Drive that will help you ace your university work-

  • Installing Google logins is a good way to ensure that you enhance your work productivity. This software looks after your grammatical and structural errors and corrects them.
  • There are many shortcuts in Google Drive that will help you in reaching the document that you want to work on quickly. You can view a complete list of shortcut keys by clicking Ctrl and/or when you are on Google Drive. Once you’ve done that, choose whichever shortcut keys you wish to learn.
  • Google Drive also allows you to keep the old version of a file while upgrading it to a new one. To do so, right-click on the new file you have uploaded on Google Drive and click on “Manage Versions”. Here, you’ll be able to upload newer versions without creating duplicates.
  • Google Drive gives free storage of 15 GB to every user. You can also store files as per their size of them. Here’s how you do it:
  • Go to Google Drive and click “Storage” to see files sorted by size
  • Locate the files that you no longer need
  • Right-click on the file and choose “Remove” from the pop-up menu
  • The files will be transferred to the “Trash” folder
  • Hover over the files that you don’t need and select “Delete forever” to remove them permanently
