How has the education industry become gamified

Games were introduced in the market for entertainment purposes initially. Later on such games were developed that helped people in relieving their stress. Gaming has undoubtedly been one of the most successful yet controversial industries. It has been successful because of its mass appeal to people of all age groups and helping them fill their extra time. But eventually games became too addictive which is why their usability has always been debatable. Nevertheless, the industry has become a massive US$11 billion industry and only seems to get bigger every day. Over a period of time many games have been introduced in the market that actually teach young children a lot of concepts with the aid of games. These games have been scientifically proven to improve memory retention, power. Traditional studying methods do not help young children in learning and remembering what they read. but one can never ignore the downfalls of these games, one of which is increased screen time. if these games are beneficial or not, is something that should be left upon parents to decide. Excess of anything is bad for one's health which is why it is always better to maintain a balance.
