How to avoid burnout as a student?

posted on: September 09, 2022

Working 16 hours every day, skipping your meals, and not having a proper sleep schedule wrecks up your life. This may decrease your sustenance power and you might feel like your body has given up way too soon. This is known as a stage of burnout where your body and mind give up due to stress and work. This is a stage of complete mental and physical exhaustion. University students are very likely to face this kind of situation as they have to manage both studies and part-time jobs which can become extremely overwhelming at times. Here are some ways which will help you to avoid burnout as a student-

  • Organize your time and make a schedule for yourself. Value your time and don't waste it by doing unnecessary things. Time management is the best virtue and the sooner you realize the better it is.
  • Set goals that could be achieved in an hour in your league. Don't set unrealistic goals like studying for eight hours a day on a weekday which is not possible. Make small targets that are achievable.
  • Taking breaks is very important in fact it is as important as managing your time is. Treat yourself to things that you like to do in between your work hours.
  • Take care of your body and its needs. Don't overlook any complaints or signs of distress that your body is showing. Take proper diet and proper sleep.
  • Reduce the amount of time that you spend on social media. Keep yourself away from social media as much as you can because not only it will save your time but also will put your mental state in a good place.
