Very recently a college based in North Carolina canceled the admission of over 500 students days before the starting of classes. The students were left without any answers and out of money that they paid as tuition fees. In the past few years many such instances have occurred where students have taken in missions and Canadian institutions and later on found out the frauds. It is very important for students to check if the institution the day they are taking admission in is a part of the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s list of the Designated Learning Institutions(DLI).
A DLI refers to a government authorised institution that is designated to give admissions to foreign nationals. also tried to check if the institution has collaborations with the government and is accredited by various authorities. Check the number of international students currently studying in that university or college as well.
