Studying abroad is an experience to behold. What most people crave during their tenure as students is - experience and company. Both of them are an essential part of one's personal growth and character. Choosing friends, especially when you are studying overseas, should be a very selective process. Of Course friendship and selection don't really go together that well because there's probably no science or mathematics behind making or choosing your friends. It's a very organic process and happens very randomly. But since studying abroad makes you a very easy and vulnerable target for many looking to take advantage, it's better to take precautions. Always choose quality over quantity. Having large friend groups is not necessary. Instead have a limited and fixed number of friends you can rely upon. Also don't keep your expectations too high. Everyone has a life to live and work to do. Choose friends that are good for your mental health and don't drain you mentally.
