The diplomatic tensions between India and Canada have led to suspicions over the ban of immigration services between both the countries. Canada has been one of the top choices for Indian students for the last many years. Students from the northern part of India especially go to Canada in high numbers every year. With these rising tensions, the enrolment rate for IELTS exam in Punjab has fallen down as there is uncertainty of immigration policies. The visa success rate still remains at 90% for Punjab and Haryana region but now students are apprehensive towards submitting their visa applications for Canada. Although no official statements have been released by both the countries, it is expected that things will be more clear in the coming days.
