Recently, IIM Bangalore has made some revisions in its admission process. The institute has decided to give more weightage to interviews from now on. Earlier more weightage was given to the CAT exam scores. Then the candidates were shortlisted on the basis of the written test and group discussions. The interview is the final round of the selection process during which candidates have to appear before a panel.
CAT is one of the most competitive exams in the country and most of the IIM’s give most weightage to the CAT scores. IIM Ahmedabad is one of the few IIMs that gives more weightage to personal interview rounds. Now IIM Bangalore has also revised its admission criteria and will be giving more importance to the personal interview stage.
