Indian Institute of technology Bombay has decided to make data science in AI compulsory for all under graduate students pursuing BTech or BS at the college. Data science and AI have become such popular disciplines in today's world that it has become very important for all students pursuing engineering to study these disciplines.
Earlier physics, chemistry and maths, what are the fundamental subjects for engineering students. But now with the revolution in the field of technology, it has become extremely important to study AI and data science. The decision will be applicable to all the undergraduate students except design students who are in a completely different spectrum.
