IIT Kanpur is offering an undergraduate and postgraduate scholarship to students that will be offered in the form of fee concession and direct monetary benefits that will be transferred into their accounts. The institute is going to offer a scholarship on the basis of both need as well as merit. The scholarship will be given to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The merit-cum-means scholarship will be given to students who maintain an annual grade point of 6.5. Under the scholarship, the student will be given a monthly stipend of Rs.1000. However, this is only applicable on students who have an annual income less than Rs.4,50,000. The INSPIRE scholarship will be given to students who have scored a rank among the top 10,000 students in JEE Mains in PCM department. The students will be given a research grant of Rs.20,000 and per semester relief of Rs.30,000.
