In April 2022, India and Australia officially signed the Australia-India trade deal. This will allow Indian students the access to more living and working opportunities in Australia. For Australia as well it will act as a much needed student booster. Australia has been struggling to get back international students in the same number as it was before the pandemic. The spokesperson said that the Australian Government has worked very hard in order to ensure the smooth return of Indian students. The Australian government has also liberated the part-time hours of work allowed to students by extending it to 40 hours a week due to shortage of labour. There are many scholarships given only to Indian students.
