Starting from August, international students will no longer have to submit a minimum 6 IELTS band in each category score to get a student visa to Canada under the SDS category. The SDS category, which is the student direct stream category, will allow students to be exempted from the minimum each category score criteria. Students can even submit language proficiency scores from other tests as well. The SDS program is the special program for international students who want to enrol in Post graduate programmes in Canada. Students from selected countries can come to Canada under this programme.
