Ireland to be prepared for competition from European nations

posted on: April 11, 2022

Trinity College Dublin which is a very famous Irish University saw a rise of 8 per cent in student applications whereas the University of Limerick and Maynooth University saw a hike of 34 and 28 per cent respectively over the last two years. There has been an average increase of 20 per cent in the overall enrolment percentage of the students. Post Brexit students see Ireland as an interesting study option with a lower fee structure and high-quality education. The interest from countries like Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and South Africa has increased the most. Ireland has also been collaborating with some top global universities to increase its credibility. But Ireland should not overlook the fact that still, countries like Germany, Netherlands and Spain etc are its tough competitors. Just like Ireland, these countries have also attracted a lot of international students this year. So to consider itself superior and unparalleled will be a mistake for Ireland as all the countries have buckled up for the competition.
