Now that NEET UG exam 2023 is around the corner, many students are exploring various options for pursuing their MBBS degree as a backup plan. More than 10,00,00 aspirants appear for the NEET exam every year. Out of all these aspirants, only 10 to 15,000 students are able to get into government colleges. Rest of the students have to look for private options to go to different countries to pursue their degree in medicine. The conventional options for Indian students for pursuing a medical degree include Russia, Bangladesh and China as they're quite affordable. Earlier, most of the students used to go to Ukraine but now with the ongoing crisis, Ukraine seems to be out of options. Many students have now started to consider the Philippines as a good and affordable study abroad option for pursuing an MBBS degree. To be eligible to study a medical degree in the Philippines, it is important to have scored at least 50% marks in your class 12th exams with physics, chemistry and biology as your options.
Also, it is very important for the candidates who have cleared the NEET exam in the past three years for once. The minimum age requirement to clear the exam is 17 years. The best part is that students do not have to appear for the TOEFL or IELTS exam to get admission. An MBBS degree on an average takes around 5.5 to 6.5 years to get completed. This includes one year of compulsory Internship, without which a candidate will not be awarded their medical degree. Studying in the Philippines will cost you somewhere around Rs.3 lakh Rs.6 lakhs depending upon the university. Your monthly expenses can be somewhere around Rs.15,000 to Rs.20,000.
